Like any other form of healing, the scar will remain in the area where the worm. But this is usually completely disappear within 2 weeks.
It depends on how much it was painful. If it was great, then you can leave a panic. If it is like a small knot or a small bump on the gums, that's OK. Good luck to you. Oh, fear, and usually that bad.
